Points of Interest
Many of Brigh Spa ’s structures date back to the ancient past and a long-vanished culture. They have unique architectural traits, perhaps being made of some strange substance or with uncanny qualities. The locals find them too useful or too durable to destroy, but the buildings often have unpleasant little surprises in their under-explored corners, and there may be greater structures still buried by long ages beneath Brigh Spa ’s streets.
The center of Brigh Spa 's town square was built around an ancient standing stone.

History
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Brigh Spa was attacked by savage lizardfolks living nearby. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Brigh Spa lost 299 people, 181 livestock, and 87 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 38, when members of Brigh Spa 's militia enacted an operation to locate a specific faction leader. The operation was complicated by major logistical problems. The conflict ended with the defense of the mine against a siege, which ended in victory for Brigh Spa 's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Brigh Spa 's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
